Richard Brister

Rich is a life-long philanthropist and has been involved in all levels of business operations, serving on the Boards of Directors for non-profit organizations over the course of his career.In the years 1992 through 1993, Rich built and donated a BallPark and children’s playground to the city of Avalon and Catalina Island. This endeavor took 18 months to complete and raised more than $300,000 to complete the construction. Over 1100-man hours were spent during the construction of the park and playground. Rich received numerous awards from the City of Avalon and the private sector for his efforts.

Lt. Col. Tony Ewers

Lt Col Tony Ewers is an active duty officer in the United States Air Force. A graduate from the United States Air Force Academy in 2002, Tony earned his Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences and entered Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus, MS. After earning his wings in 2004, Tony’s first assignment was to Grand Forks AFB, ND as a KC-135 Aircraft Commander flying air refueling missions. His duties included combat in Iraq and Afghanistan for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. In 2006, he transitioned to MacDill AFB, FL where he became a KC-135 Evaluator Pilot and Tactics officer. In 2011, he earned the prestigious opportunity to fly for the 89th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Andrews, MD as a C-37 Special Air Missions pilot. During his time with the 89th, Tony served over four years at the Pentagon while becoming an Instructor Pilot for the 99th Airlift Squadron. His duties included flying executive and senior military leaders of the country including the Vice President of the United States, First Lady, Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Defense among many others. In 2017, Tony deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan flying the E-11 in combat operations during Operation Resolute Support. During this time he was the Director of Operations and became an Evaluator Pilot. Finally, in June 2019, Tony was selected to the Presidential Airlift Group to be Chief of the Program Integration Office where he oversees the construction and transition to the next Presidential aircraft facility. In June 2020, Tony earned his qualification as a Presidential Pilot in the VC- 25A.

Josh Desfalvy

Military Officer/Pilot, commissioned as an officer in 2003 from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO with a Bachelor of Science (Business Management). Upon graduation from USAFA, attended Military Pilot Training, Columbus Air Force Base, MS earning honors of Distinguished Graduate. Attended KC-10 Aircraft Commander/Instructor school at Travis Air Force Base, CA, also earning honors of Distinguished Graduate, and 6th Air Refueling Squadron "Warrior of the Year" recipient. Over 120+ Combat Sorties and 4 Air Medals flying into Iraq and Afghanistan, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Freedom Sentinel. Air Force Commendation Medal recipient and Meritorious Service Medal recipient. Graduate from Squadron Officer School, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, Advanced Instrument School (FAA), Oklahoma City, OK, and Boeing Initial Qualification/Instructor and Crew Resource Management School Boeing Training Facility Renton, WA and Miami, FL. As a KC-10 Instructor pilot 6th Air Refueling Squadron, instructed pilots on normal, emergency, cargo, and air refueling operations for global employment. Executive Officer to the Operations Group Commander, acting agent in all matters pertaining to the function of the 60th Operations Group, Travis AFB, CA. Headquarters liaison, coordinating aircraft and aircrews worldwide in support of U.S. interests. Managed airlift and air refueling missions while maintaining aircrew readiness. Commanded combat ready aircrews in global employment of the KC-10 Extender.

Bryan Stewart

Bryan Stewart serves as Lead Executive, Parade Development Office at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, where he oversees sponsorship sales and marketing and supports volunteer committees, participant relations, and associated events. His role builds on three decades in entertainment, sports marketing, branding, nonprofit management, and experience recounted in his book Hope Blooms: Organ Donation, the Rose Parade, and Our Journey to Save Lives, a 12-year chronicle of Donate Life’s blueprint for inspiring millions to save lives as organ and tissue donors through their innovative and emotional contributions to the Tournament of Roses’ flagship event.

James Bohm

Mr. Bohm practices in all of our main practice areas and has substantial experience in construction defect litigation, business litigation, trust and probate litigation and personal injury litigation. He has represented developers, general contractors, sub-contractors and design professionals in construction defect litigation. He has represented Fortune 500 companies in various complex business litigation, ranging from contract disputes to claims relating to divestiture of assets. He has represented both trustees and beneficiaries in complex, high dollar trust litigation. He has extensive trial experience with a proven track record.

Anni Marshall

Anni has now become a Team Member in the Halos and Heros Foundation, supporting Gold Star Children who have lost a military parent that gave their life in the line of duty protecting our country, freedom, and civil liberties in the United States of America. Anni Marshall is proudly serving the city of Avalon in her fourth term as the first elected Mayor of Avalon. She is also the owner of a small wedding business and has been a member of the local Chamber of Commerce since 1989.
